Potters for Peace ceramic water filter.



Potters for Peace- Potters for Peace is a U.S. based nonprofit, a network of potters, educators, technicians, supporters, and volunteers. Founded in Nicaragua in 1986, we work with clay artisans in Central America and worldwide on ceramic water purification projects.

 






Kijabe Environment Volunteers (KENVO) a voluntary community based organization involved in community conservation in Central Kenya,  KENVO implements forest rehabilitation projects, increases community awareness, provides technical skills to other community groups involved in forest conservation, carries out advocacy work, assists with monitoring surveys on local forests and resources, assists local farmers in the design and implementation of income-generating projects and helps to interpret government policies on natural resources for local communities.

2011 is the ninth year of CWY's partnership with KENVO. 

David Suzuki FoundationWe work with government, business and individuals to conserve our environment by providing science-based education, advocacy and policy work, and acting as a catalyst for the social change that today's situation demands.

NEW!Cows and Fish: Alberta Riparian Habitat Managment Society -a non-profit society striving to foster a better understanding of how improvements in grazing and other management of riparian areas can enhance landscape health and productivity, for the benefit of landowners, agricultural producers, communities and others who use and value riparian areas.



The Story of Bottled Water  -Video released on World Water Day (22 March 2010). It tells the story of manufactured demand -- how to convince Americans to buy more than half a billion bottles of water every week when it already flows from the tap. This video discusses the bottled water industry's attacks on tap water and its use of seductive, environmental-themed advertising to cover up the mountains of plastic waste it produces.
